In a nutshell
Folders for Remote Desktop enhances the remote desktop experience by making local drives and folders accessible within a remote session, just like network drives. This allows users to seamlessly access and transfer files between local and remote environments.
FabulaTech solution
Folders for Remote Desktop includes two components: one installed on the local computer (Workstation) and another on the remote system (Server). When you connect to a remote desktop session, your local C: drive appears in the remote environment, enabling access to local files as if they were shared over a network.
By default, only the C: drive is mapped, and access is limited to read-only for security purposes.
Key features
- Secure and seamless file redirection.
- Read-only access to protect local data.
- Local files and folders appear in the remote session without involving third-party servers—everything transfers over the existing remote desktop connection.
